Work Experience Activities provide jobseekers with the opportunity to gain new skills and experience while assisting the local community.

Dandenong Assist

The activity is working with the Dandenong Historical Society to compile cemetery records and develop a database containing all records and associated information from the 1800's onwards. Due to degradation of the records over time fieldwork is undertaken periodically to confirm information contained in records.

Participants will work within a team environment and have the opportunity to gain practical skills in:

• Microsoft Windows
• Internet and email
• Microsoft Word
• Microsoft Excel
• Microsoft PowerPoint
• Microsoft Access
• Dreamweaver (Web Page Creation)
• Digital Photography and scanning
